NBA comparison : Poor man’s Blake Griffin

Versatile big man who can either finish at the rim or shoot from outside. Very good runner and leaper, spectacular dunker, above all when he has space to get at the rim. Can handle the ball pretty well in the open court or driving from the high post. Strong enough to play in the low post too. Nice wingspan which helps him contesting shots and playing the passing lanes. Decent shooter from outside with 35% on almost three attempts per game. Consistent player who scores on 60+% fg and rarely has bad games.

Good athlete but lacks a degree of footspeed/leapspeed in small areas, which limits him on defense. Still must gain weight to compete against NBA big men. Shooting is ok but not good enough to label Toppin as a stretch four. Old sophomore as he should be a senior. May have already peak contrary to most freshman/sophomore prospects.
